This is a story about a love triangle and a battle for the throne. It follows Emperor Zhu Yun Wen and his uncle Zhu Di, who both fall in love with the same woman and eventually turn against each other.

Zhu Di, a brave and skilled prince, was sent to guard the northern Yan region. Even though he was the strongest among his brothers, he couldn't become the crown prince because the throne was supposed to go to the eldest. When the crown prince unexpectedly dies, Zhu Yun Wen, Zhu Di's nephew, is made emperor, standing in the way of Zhu Di’s ambitions.

To make things more complicated, both Zhu Yun Wen and Zhu Di fall in love with Xu Miao Yun, trapping her in a heartbreaking situation between two rulers.
