Emperor Chai Suen goes into the mountains to ask a martial arts expert, Chung Mo Yim, for help to save the Chai Empire. In his excitement, he promises her anything she wants in return. After she helps him, Yim surprises Suen by asking to become the Empress! But Suen had already promised the title to the beautiful Ha Ying Cheun.

To avoid trouble, Suen’s legal adviser, An Ying, comes up with a plan to divide the palace into East and West wings for both queens. Yim only wants to be Empress to help Suen rule the country, while Cheun is keeping an eye out for a chance to get revenge.
