A powerful earthquake strikes Xichuan, and lawyer Luo Ben heads to the disaster area to find his younger sister, Luo Yuan, who is mute. There, he meets the Light Chaser Rescue team, led by Captain Qing Shan, and his sister's friend, Xiong Fei, a key member of the team. Luo Ben also runs into Zhan Yan, a doctor he didn’t think highly of before, but soon comes to admire for her kindness and skill.
